I bought this to properly store some expensive wines I had purchased. It does a pretty good job of keeping them at a temperature of around 20 degrees below room temperature, but won't go lower, which is fine as long as room temperature doesn't get too hot. The only real negative is it will turn off and not come back on if power goes out for even a short time. I didn't realize a couple times this had happened for a few days so everything inside warmed up.
