I bought a new Wash/dryer combo. It stopped drying, had service out they showed up wouldn't do anything because only one guy showed up, came a second time looked it over ordered a part but the thing started working, three weeks later got a survey call from the repair service company (local company for Cedar Rapids, IA) for the return service call that never happened. Called them back said that they never came, never heard from them again, nor did I ever hear from Haier. The part finally arrived after about 2 1/2 months. Dryer again stopped and is not working so I had to replace the sprayer myself. The dryer still doesn't work and now I'm told that I voided the warranty so no more repairs on it, even though the part I ended up replacing had nothing to do with what is wrong with the unit.

Picked up this machine last winter because I needed a ventless dryer for my small laundry room - and loved the idea of having a machine that combined washing and drying functions. Being just my husband and I, we don't go through a ton of laundry in a week - two or three loads in this little washer was a standard week for us.
About six months in, the dryer stopped working. Oh, it still ran...and ran...and ran...but just didn't dry the clothes. They actually seemed more wet, if that's possible. I figured out that it was a broken heating element, and after hearing about negative experiences with customer service, opted not to have it repaired (though it was still under warranty), and use it just as a washer and air dry clothes.
Now, I'm wondering whether it's even getting my clothes clean. We have a yellow labrador retriever and lots of dark clothes, and it seems like every load of laundry has more dog hair on it once it comes out than when it goes in...
And the "lint trap" - ugh, I don't even know what to say about that. Each time I open it, I must be prepared with several towels and a bucket, because it holds no lint, just a bunch of water...which has probably voided my warranty, anyway.
For now, I continue to use it as a washer because it fits the space well, and it's 120V. Otherwise...ugh. Well, it's energy efficient, so that's something I suppose. :(

We bought this appliance from another vendor. After waiting a few months for the backordered unit to arrive, we hooked it up in the kitchen of our small apartment. After the first couple loads it was making a lot of noise, especially when it spun. And only the first load went through the entire wash and dry cycle. After that it would shut down randomly about 15 minutes into drying. We tried just using the dry cycle, and the spin and dry cycle. All of them shut down right away, so we had to run it several times, then hang our clothes out to finish drying. After awhile water started pooling in the machine as well. We had technicians come out, and they replaced the computer but that didn't help. Finally we were able to convince Haier to send us another unit, but we had to go through the same vendor again, which took another month or so. In the meantime, we had to cut off the plug and send the serial number to Haier, then we were responsible for disposing of the rest of the unit.
When the new unit came we had the same problems, minus the water pooling. We had the motor replaced (which was not an easy task for the technician to do) and the computer replaced again. After a few runs it started staying on a little longer, but still not enough to dry the clothes, and no matter how many times we ran the spin and dry cycle, we still had to hang our clothes out for a little while to dry. Haier has agreed to give us a refund, finally, after much haggling, but again we have to send them the plug and serial number, and throw the unit away.
Nevermind all the trouble we had with both units. I have little faith in a company that thinks it's more beneficial for the consumer to throw their product away than for the to attempt to have it shipped back to repair and sell refurbished. Obviously they don't feel their product is worth the hassle. And while I agree, it makes me very unwilling to purchase anything from them again.

The washer arrived in good condition. I installed it but it makes a ridiculous amount of noise. Now I can't find anyone to service this unit in the area.

Not at all dependable. I bought a Haier for a small kitchen in my daughter's new little house. It leaked from day 1 or did not work at all somedays. It flooded her new carpets and new floors 8-9 times. We just unplugged it. After Dependable Appliance put me off and made excuses for one month and did nothing...they said they could not refund me...for me to call Haier. Guess What? Haier is doing nothing either. My daughter has a metal piece of junk in her kitchen and has to go back and forth to my house to do her laundry. Terrible customer service! I guess the courts will be next.
